R&M’s field mountable plug, the FM45, is the latest upgrade with state-of-the-art metal housing, intuitive handling and a robust and compact design.

New from R&M, the FM45 EL Cat.6A is perfectly engineered for fast and easy termination. Like the popular EL module, it features a robust housing designed for various field applications.

LAN cabling or IOT, the RJ45 field-mountable plug with IDC contacts is an ideal choice. It suits PoE applications and proudly carries the highly recognised PowerSafe seal.

The FM45 EL Cat.6A provides effortless handling during termination for ultra-fast fieldwork. It features an easy to read, clear colour coding system for correct TIA568A or TIA568B termination.
The precise termination block, accurate guiding aid and toolless assembly save technicians valuable time on any job.

Suitable for cable diameters from 5mm to 9mm, the industrial design with diecast housing ensures a robust product built for longevity. Re-terminable if the installation needs to change, if offers enormous flexibility.

Contact possibilities
Termination can be made with wires or stranded wires of AWG22 to AWG26 and overall cable diameters from 5mm to 9mm. Regardless of which cable type you prefer, shielded or unshielded is possible.

Latch protector/release lever
The latch protector acts as a release lever in places that are difficult to access. It can be shortened or removed if necessary.

Cable strain relief
Two differently coloured clamping rings are used. They can be chosen according to the cable diameter inside the nut to ensure proper strain relief.

Adaptability
No matter where your access point is located, with R&M’s angled FM45 you will always find an appropriate fitting angle. It can be mounted in four positions.

Compact possibilities
R&M has designed the straight plug version in as compact a way as possible and it is just 46mm long, to integrate neatly into the existing installation environment.
