We have the stock, we cut to any length specification, and we can distribute to any required location.

Mini loose tube cable

In telecommunications and networking, including roads, ports, mines and smart buildings, innovation is the key to progress. OSA’s mini nylon loose tube cable is the ideal solution that combines ultra-low attenuation, cutting-edge installation performance and an ultra-compact size.

The mini nylon loose tube cable series boasts a reduced-diameter loose tube that preserves the performance of its standard counterpart while introducing a more compact yet robust form. This size reduction is a game-changer for asset owners and installers, offering faster installation, easier handling and reduced duct congestion.

At the heart of these cables lies a dry, water-blocked concentric core, featuring a slim loose tube design that accommodates up to 24 tubes per cable. This innovative design ensures optimal performance, even in challenging installation environments. The cables further feature one or two layers of protective SZ laid tubes constructed from a robust PBT compound, with each tube containing 12 fibres (excluding 6f).

To ensure durability and compliance with industry standards, the tube jacket comprises black HDPE and blue nylon sheath, meeting the stringent requirements of AS 1049. This robust sheathing enhances the cable’s resistance to external factors and ensures longevity in diverse operational conditions.

One of this cable series’ standout features is its design, which facilitates effortless fibre preparation and mid-span access. Installers can easily navigate the cable, streamlining the installation process and minimising potential disruptions.

Nylon loose tube cable

The nylon loose tube cable series combines a robust design with ultra-low attenuation and excellent installation performance. The design of the hard outer jacket makes them perfect for use in termite prone areas, offering advanced protection against termites and other insects. The SZ stranded loose tubes provide excellent performance, even under significant tensile loads.

The cables are based on a dry water-blocked concentric core, loose tube design with up to 24 tubes per cable. The cables have one or two layers of protective SZ laid tubes made of a robust PBT compound where each tube has 12 fibres (excluding 6f).

Highly durable and industry-compliant, the tube jacket comprises the same black HDPE and blue nylon sheath as the mini version, also meeting the stringent requirements of AS 1049.

Additional features include up to 288 fibres.

The product is suitable for duct installation with excellent optical performance with low loss fibres. The dry cable makes preparing and identifying fibres easy and includes a fully dielectric design. With excellent mechanical performance, the cable is termite proof and constructed of UV-stabilised materials.

OSA carries a wide range of variants in nylon and mini loose tube cables available for immediate delivery in any length across Australia.
